Terms of Conditions

A 20 % non-refundable reservation fee is required. Once this is received subject to availability we will reserve your place at the Lodge. Final payment is due to us not later than six weeks prior to arrival. Your bank deposit slip is your voucher.Final payment should be made at our bank account mentioned below.

Cancellation of your booking must be in writing and becomes effective on receipt of written notification. Should this happen 6 weeks prior to arrival your reservation fee is forfelted. If your cancellation is made after the date due for full payment, cancellation charges will be levied as follows:
Cancellation fees, expressed as a percentage of the Lodge price are:

  • More than 6 weeks: reservation fee forfelted
  • Between 6 weeks - 2 weeks: 50 %
  • Less than 2 weeks: 90%

The person making any booking will, by the making of such booking, warrant that he or she has authority to enter into a contract on behalf of the other person included in such a booking and in the event of the failure of any or all the other persons so included to make payment, the person making the booking shall by his/her signature therein assume personal liability for the total price of all bookings made by him/her.

Fort Sesfontein is situated in the African wilderness. The stay in the Fort and the use of vehicles and equipment of the Fort is on your own risk and we accept no responsibility.
Please be aware that our Safaris may take you into close contact with wild animals. Attacks are rare but we cannot guarantee that this will not occur. Neither the Company, nor their employees, nor agents can be held responsible for any injury or incident that may occur whilst on safari.
All clients are advised to take out comprehensive insurance cover.

Neither the Company nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of the Company, shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause whatsoever, and without restricting the generality of the foregoing, shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors, or omissions, contained in its brochure or other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of bookings, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, injury or death whether occasioned by negligence or not.

Whilst the company uses its best endeavours to ensure that all anticipated accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature whatsoever against the Company for a refund either in the whole or part, if any accommodation is unavailable, or if the client was unable to use that service.

The payment of the reservation fee or any other partial payment for a reservation, constitutes consent to all provisions of the conditions and general information, contained within this brochure. The terms under which you agree to stay at the Lodge, cannot be changed or amended except in writing, signed by an authorised director of the Company.
